The benefits of dropshipping with Dutch suppliers in 2025
Dutch dropshipping suppliers are more expensive per item than suppliers from Asia, but they typically deliver within one to two working days. That reduces returns and queries, and increases the likelihood of a visitor actually completing their purchase.
- Delivery times of one to two working days compared to several weeks when shipping from Asia.
- Shorter delivery times mean fewer support queries asking 'where is my parcel'.
- Things to agree before you start: inventory feed, return policy, profit margin, shipping costs and shipping under your own brand name.
- Without your own product descriptions, you're selling the exact same page as every other shop using that supplier.

Dropshipping from Asia leads to long delivery times and high return rates. Dutch suppliers are slightly more expensive per unit, but deliver within 1 to 2 days, boosting both your conversion and your reviews.
What should you look for in a supplier?
Stock feed, returns policy, margin, delivery costs and whether you can ship under your own brand name. Agree on these details before building your online shop.

Step by step: choosing a supplier
Place a test order to see for yourself how quickly it arrives and what the packaging looks like. Then ask about the inventory feed: how often is it updated, and what happens if an item goes out of stock while you're still selling it?
Next, calculate your margin including shipping costs and returns. Finally, confirm in writing who pays for returns and whether you can ship under your own brand name.
The mistakes I see most often
Starting with hundreds of products and no original copy. Your shop becomes a carbon copy and nothing can be found in search engines. Better: a small product range with genuine information, photos and specifications.
Another common pitfall: no inventory integration, leading you to sell items that aren't in stock. That costs you reviews, and in dropshipping, reviews are your only differentiator.
Dutch supplier versus shipping from Asia
| Dutch | Asia | |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery time | 1–2 working days | Weeks |
| Cost price | Higher | Lower |
| Returns and support queries | Fewer | More |
| Shipping under own brand name | Often possible | Rarely |
In brief
- 01

Without your own copy, you'll be invisible.
Frequently asked questions
Is dropshipping still profitable?
Only with a carefully curated product range, original content, and a supplier that delivers fast. Competing on price with an off-the-shelf catalogue doesn't work.
How many products should I start with?
Better twenty products you can genuinely explain than five hundred imported spreadsheet rows.
Can a dropshipping shop rank well on Google?
Yes, provided your category pages and product descriptions feature original content. Otherwise, you're just one of ten shops with identical text.
Do you help with the setup?
Yes, via webshop setup and guidance. That page explains what's included and how much it costs.
