I prefer to work as an additional user within your own accounts. That way, you remain the owner of your data and can revoke my access at any time.
For the website, I usually need an administrator account or access to where scripts are placed. For tracking and advertising, access to Search Console, Analytics, Tag Manager, and the relevant ad account is sufficient.
In advance, I confirm in writing what I will be doing and what access I need. I never share passwords by email.
