What is a GEO scan?
A GEO scan (Generative Engine Optimization) checks whether AI search engines can retrieve, understand and cite your website. Among other things, the scan inspects your robots.txt for AI crawlers, checks whether you have an llms.txt, whether your meta description is filled in, whether your headings are phrased as questions, and whether your opening paragraph provides a direct answer. The result is a percentage score with specific points for improvement.

AI assistants cite pages that answer questions directly. The scan checks whether your headings are phrased as questions and whether your opening paragraph provides a concise, definition-style explanation.
